Meet the Owner: Harrison Gillette
Harrison has always had a passion for all things home-related. In 2002, he started building for Habitat for Humanity, an organization that helps people in need in the community build or renovate a place they can call home. In 2004, he started Stone River Homes LLC, a local rental property business. From 2004-2013, Harrison flipped many homes and condos along the Lakeshore before renting them out. It was in 2013 that he became a Certified Home Inspector. After going through many inspections himself, he figured this was a natural next step in his career. He and his company has completed over 7,000 home inspections and that number continues to grow daily!
Harrison is a Mona Shores graduate and has a business degree from Muskegon Community College. He has been trained through the accredited Allied Schools & is a member of the Housing Inspection Foundation. In his free time, Harrison spends time with his three daughters and wife, Alyssa. He enjoys many outdoor activities such as boating, dirt biking, and snowmobiling.
Josh started doing construction at a young age, working for various contractors, and then working for Hughes Builders out of Muskegon. Prior to Josh joining Stone River Home Inspections, he was able to achieve his Contractors License as well as his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Westshore Community College.
Josh joined the Stone River team in 2019. He loves being a part of the buying and selling process for homeowners, and making sure people have a safe place to call home! Josh is a member of InterNACHI (International Association of Certified Home Inspectors). He is also certified in Home, Well, Septic, Water Samples, and WDO inspections.
When Josh isn’t working hard for Stone River Home Inspections, you can find him on his boat in the summertime, or with his family.
Adam is a Fruitport graduate. Upon graduating, he worked as a general contractor until 2010. He then went to school for medicine and became a Certified Medical Assistant through various specialty and general clinics.
Adam shadowed Harrison for a year as he was exploring a new career path. After touring inspections, he knew this is what he wanted to do. He became a Certified Home Inspector in 2020. Adam enjoys the challenge of this career path and loves that every day is different. Helping a family understand and navigate their home is very rewarding.
Adam enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and daughter, Keira. They enjoy camping, traveling, sports and everything in between!
Logan Kartes is a certified home inspector currently working at Stone River Home Inspections in West Michigan. This decision has proven successful as Logan has been able to excel in his role and continue to grow as a home inspector. In addition to general home inspections, Logan is also able to provide other services such as sewer scopes, structural inspections, and radon testing.
